Competitions
- Mumbai Metro Rail Competition(MMRC)- 4 groups of students Participated and finally One group( Tejas Vaidya, Sagar Nirpute,Alakh Singh & Ishani Pradhan ) mentored by Prof. Varsha Annadate was awarded with meritorious recognition for quality of presentation
- National level Thesis Award ( NIASA) – Somik Beura mentored by Prof.Varsha Annadate was one of the finalist amongst 10 others, selected from 5 Zones.
- Inter Collegeiate Design competition Hosted by Hiray College of Architecture-Parsad Sandbhor mentored by Prof. Varsha Annadate won 1st prize for Sem-VI Architectural Design.
- AIS Glass Design Competition-Chaitanya Joshi & Divyanshi Gupta were one of the finalists in the competition.
- MIMANSA Dialogue & Deliberation on Architectural Thesis Syposium - Selvin Vargese participated.
Zonal NASA Convention
Major participation is from second and third years. This year, the NASA team has been working on the theme UNTRAVERSED.
- Panel Discussion: The objective was to justify approaches that focused on the envelope (form) or the content (space\user). The team considered the works of Ar. B.V Doshi to justify each idea. The entry won citation.
- Thesis Trophy: The project of Tejas Saiyya won citation.
- Photography Trophy: The theme was ‘surcease’, aimed at capturing the chaos in the city and the human lifestyle. Entry won citation.
- The others trophies for which we participated were Reubens Trophy and Industrial Design Trophy.
Archumen
The Architectural Quiz was held on the 1st of February 2019 at LS Raheja College of Architecture in Mumbai. Nandan Tike and Vaibhavi Dave bagged the 3rd prize.

Achievements:
- Dhruv Parikh (Semester-5), for winning second position Kamu Iyer Design Competition (KIDC) 2019 held at AIKTC SOA, Panvel for his semester-V Architectural Design.
- BVCOA celebrates a significant milestone achieved by the 4th-year architecture students, being awarded the prestigious COA (Council of Architecture) Student Excellence Award for their documentation of the architectural heritage of Sarchi Village. This accolade recognizes the students' dedication, innovation, and commitment to preserving and promoting architectural heritage.
- BVCOA alumni Somik Beura qualified for the prestigious COA National Awards for Excellence in Architecture Thesis in 2019. This recognition reflects our commitment to nurturing talented architects who contribute significantly to the field of architecture.
- Prerna Patel, student of third Year B. Arch represented her work in ROOKIE’S 2019- Asian Contest for architectural rookies award. Her design innovation dealt with an interpretation centre - Striving towards Mangrove conservation that got shortlisted amongst the top 10.
- Chaitanya Joshi, student of third Year B. Arch represented his work and ‘An interpretation centre for Indigenous flora’ and was shortlisted amongst top 20 in ROOKIE’S 2019- Asian Contest for architectural rookies award.
- The COA’s Student’ Awards for excellence in documentation of architectural heritage 2012 was certified to BVCOA, represented by alumni Vaishnavi Sathe for the documented project titled Utkarsh that dealt with the Banjara community development, Washim. The project was selected for merit under the category “Arts & Crafts related to buildings'' at the zonal level of the awards programme.
- Alumni Mohit Shetty represented his work at the Asian Contest of Architectural Rookies award - Indian Domestic Contest 2020 held in PVPCOA, Pune and was shortlisted amongst top 11 representing BVCOA in the jury panel.
- Alumni Radhika Somani represented her work at the Asian Contest of Architectural Rookies award - Indian Domestic Contest 2022 held in PVPCOA, Pune and was shortlisted amongst top 13 representing BVCOA in the jury panel.
- FOAID 2018 - The Students of BVCOA represented the college in the Wood is good design competition held in Festival of Architecture and Interior Design held in Mumbai. The team seized the Bronze Medal in India’s premier furniture design competitions. This annual design competition creates an opportunity for architecture students to showcase their talent through unique woodworks, all of which are created using wood that is sourced exclusively from Canada’s sustainable forests.
- Students Vaibhavi Dave and Nandan Tike Participated in Archumen - India's Biggest Architecture Quiz for students of architecture in 2019 and secured the 3rd place. The competition is initiated by Ethos- an organization that strives to be the wind beneath the wings of young minds that are to shape our built environment in the years to come.
- BVCOA saw one of the alumni reaching global stature. Ar. Arpita Ganti represented BVCOA's panel, at the International Symposium - "Indian Architecture Today" at Consulate General of India, New York. with the support of the Council of Architecture, India and the Delegation of Indian architects.
- BVCOA Students Divyanshi Gupta from 1st year and Chaitanya Joshi from 4th year participated in the AIS Glass design Olympiad and secured the 1st position. The competition invited students from reputed architectural institutes in Mumbai and Ahmedabad to showcase their talents on a large industry platform.
- BVCOA successfully organized a combined event for the Zone 3 jury from 24th to 26th September 2018 for the National Awards for Excellence in Architectural Thesis & JK AYA Best Architecture Student of the Year Award combined with Students’ Awards for Excellence in Documentation of Architectural Heritage by COA.
- A significant milestone achieved by the students of BVCOA, marked by being awarded the prestigious COA (Council of Architecture) Students’ Award for Excellence in Documentation of architectural heritage 2018 for documenting “Revanda - A Living Habitat. The college was represented by Rikunj Shah, Dhiraj Niladhe, Shekhar Borade, Sanket Chavan, Sankita Dikay, Nilay Pradhan and Sagar Nirpute in the Zone 3 Jury hosted by BVCOA.
- BVCOA also successfully Organized The Teachers Training programme associated with the COA (Council of Architecture) on the topic “Integration of Allied Subjects in Architectural Education” from 28th November to 2nd December 2016.
- RE-VISION Interior design International Competition by Arch8 acknowledged the students of BVCOA, Dhwanee Ajay Kolage and Shalmali Sanjay Achrekar (4th year) and the students Ritika Patil and Parag Jadhav (3rd year) in the special mentions for redesigning the interiors of apartments shown in famous international sitcoms.
- The Fourth year Students of BVCOA Amitakshi Banik, Abhishek Agarawal and Pranaya Khade secured first place in the design competition organized by ARC!ACE on developing a ‘Smart Design: An Evolving Laneway House’ held in July 2021.
- Nehru College of Architecture organized a sustainable forest resort design competition in September 2021 where the third year students of BVCOA Adyot Saigaonkar, Tanay Kulkarni and Rohit Bhosale were amongst the shortlisted top 10. The design proffers a calm environment for recreation where one can relish the sounds of nature.
- Adyot Saigaonkar and Tanay Kulkarni of third year were acknowledged the Top 15 and People’s Choice Award for Affordable Student Housing Design organized by UNI.XYZ in August 2021.
- Fifth Year BVCOA Students Himanshu Lad, Parmeshwari Tirodkar and Chinmayee Kharche participated in the AIS Glass design Olympiad organized by Asahi India Glass and secured 3rd position.
- Neha Vishe, Nupur Dhake and Anagha Suresh from 2nd year B.Arch. were bestowed with the special mention for participating in the competition ‘Active Street Edge’ organized by DECODING EVERYDAY.
- Nayansi Sinha from 3rd year participated and was honored with the 2nd position in the design competition ‘Market as Public Spaces’ organized by DECODING EVERYDAY.
- Prajakta Bhansode from 3rd year was presented the 1st position for ‘Origami for House Sparrows competition’ in the year 2022.
- Drushti Mali, Nupur Dhake, Nupur Pawge and Kiran Jangid from 2nd year B.Arch. were bestowed with the special mention for participating in the competition ‘Market as Public spaces’ organized by DECODING EVERYDAY.
- Deepak Nishad from 3rd year procured the first prize for ‘World Photography day’ competition organized by MES Pillai college of Architecture in august 2022.
- The Times Education Icons 2022 is an initiative to recognise exemplary achievers and educational institutions. BVCOA was conferred with the achievement of ‘Times Education Icon’ in the Top Architecture Institute Category.
- BVCOA Students Kashish Bhagat from 2nd year B. Voc.ID and Tanay Kulkarni from 4th year participated in the ‘Architects Arena’ design competition organised by Archmello and secured a position in the Top 10 Honourable Mentions in their academic year 2022.
- Mansi Singh from 4th year procured a position in the top 20 for ‘The Great Portfolio’ organised by Archmello.
- BVCOA alumni Yamini Patankar presented her thesis titled ‘Revival of Cultural Heritage of Pratapgad fort’ for the National Awards for Excellence in Architectural Thesis & JK AYA Best Architecture Student of the Year Award and received a certificate of merit in the national final jury held on 4th march 2021.
- AOA, Mumbai had arranged Cricket tournament, where students of Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Architecture stand 2nd runner-up. Abhishek Patel, Rohan Tayade, Shrawan Lanjile, Nandakishor Bhoi, Dipesh Sulebhavikar, Chandrakant Chaube, Adesh Rahate were the part of the team. (Year: 2019-2020)
- ASSA (Annual Students Sports Arena), was organized by AOA Mumbai; wherein Students from Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Architecture Navi Mumbai has bagged 2nd and 3rd runner-up position in Table Tennis Tournament. Shravani Kendki, Pranav Pradhan, Abhishek Patel are the participants who win this tournament. (Year: 2019-2020)

- COA Thesis and Heritage Award -
Our college hosted the 3-days event – Zonal Jury & Exhibition for National Awards for Excellence in Architectural Thesis And Heritage Awards 2018 at CIDCO Exhibition Center, Vashi from 24th – 26th September 2018 organized by Council Of Architecture through its Academic unit - Council Of Architecture Training & Research Centre (COA-TRC). On 24th September, there was an inauguration of National Awards for Architectural Thesis and Heritage Awards 2018’ executed with an amazing start at CIDCO Exhibition Centre in the presence of Mr.Ramaswamy N, Mr.Soyuz Talib, Mr.Habeeb Khan,Mr.Shekhar Bagool, Mr.Vilasrao Kadam followed by exhibition. The FOLLOWING day, there was a short listing of entries by- Ar.Sandeep Sen, Ar.Aravindan Rangan, Ar.Deepa Mandrekar Rao. On the last day, there was a public jury followed by felicitation of students and results concluded by cultural program.
- Exchange Program: Under the Exchange Program with the institute ENSAPLV- Paris, our students Manmeet Singh Obang, Manali Nilawar and Anshuli Nagwekar are selected and granted admission to ENSAPLV for one academic year.

Introduction:
The Student Council at Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Architecture is a vibrant and dynamic body that plays a pivotal role in fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among students. Comprising of responsible and enthusiastic students, the council works tirelessly to promote active participation, inclusivity, and student welfare.
The Student Council encourages students to take an active part in various events, activities, and decision-making processes. This includes:
- Organizing cultural festivals, sports tournaments, and academic competitions.
- Conducting workshops, seminars, and guest lectures on topics relevant to architecture and design.
- Participating in community service projects and social initiatives.
- Providing a platform for students to showcase their talents, skills, and creativity.
